This week I thought about my favourite doctor.
Dr Meredith Rodney McKay from Stargate Atlantis
Doctor Meredith Rodney McKay is a fictional character in the TV series Stargate Atlantis, and is played by David Hewlett. His character originated in the parent series, Stargate SG-1, with his first appearance in the episode "48 Hours." Rodney is a brilliant scientist, with degrees in astrophysics and engineering. He is also Earth's leading expert on the Stargate and is currently the lead scientist on the Atlantis expedition.

My mother and my cousin's husband both love that show... they never really had much to talk about over the years 'til he discovered my mom made time for "Sci-Fi Fridays" on the sci-fi network, and she watched all the Stargates. Then it was all they talked about forever when my family would get together.

I love all the Stargate shows and spinoffs (though the first was by far the best), but I didn’t even THINK of Rodney. This is very cool indeed. Well done ;--)
